from our pastor:
In the year 2017, we at The Pentecostals of Bossier City have determined to strengthen ourselves, our homes, and our city by deliberately focusing on four areas: our daily walk and relationship with God, our worship to Him, our war against the forces at work against us, and our determination to be outspoken witnesses of the glory and Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the return of the Lord draws closer with every passing day. It is more important than ever that our commitment be focused entirely upon God's Will. These four areas are focal points for that Will. Please join us as we work towards making 2017 a year of fulfilled promise for not only The Pentecostals of Bossier City, but also the work of God around the world.
I commit to a minimum of seven minutes each morning to seek the face of God before I seek the face of man. My daily walk with God will produce the fruit of the Spirit in my life until Christ is formed in me. As I walk in the Spirit, I will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. I lay aside every weight and the sin that hinders me as I pursue a daily walk that pleases God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2, Galatians 5:22-23, Hebrews 11:5, Galatians 5:16, Galatians 4:19)
My heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise to the Lord. I will bless the Lord at all times. The sacrifice of praise will continually be in my mouth. I will give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name and bring an offering when I come into His courts. As part of my worship, I will honor the Lord with the first fruits of all my increase.
(Psalm 57:7, Psalm 34:1, Hebrews 13:15, Psalm 96:8, Proverbs 3:9)
I am not fighting against flesh and blood, so I daily arm myself with all the armor of God and will war a good warfare against the enemy of my soul. My weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God to break addictions and pull down every stronghold. I passionately pursue all the gifts of the Spirit to assist me in this war. I overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.
(1 Timothy 1:8, Ephesians 6:10-18, 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, Revelation 12:11)
God has given me power to be a witness. I am His ambassador on the earth, and a living epistle that is known and read of all men. The Lord gives me boldness by stretching forth His hand to heal. Signs and wonders will be done in the name of Jesus. I speak to the north, south, east, and west to give up my sons and daughters, and bring them back to the Father's house. All the seed that I have planted in faith in the kingdom soil shall produce a great harvest.
(Acts 1:8, Acts 4:29-30, 2 Corinthians 3:2, Isaiah 43:6, Malachi 3:10, Luke 6:38)
